(8) We respect the privacy of those who access our Website. Under our general policy, no personal information about you will be collected automatically. Nor do we use so-called "cookie" technology. However, we do collect non-personal information (i.e., information which cannot be tied back to you specifically; for example, the type of browser you use, or the type of operating system, the name of your ISP). By doing this, we are able to make access to compatible pages automatic, so it's simpler and quicker for you to enjoy our Website. (11) Four Jays Music Publishing Inc. does not accept unsolicited material. It is based upon practical as well as legal reasons. On the practical side, it would obviously be impossible for us to pay careful attention to the vast number of writers who have asked us to consider their material. On the legal side, we are justifiably concerned about the possibility of suits from writers who might claim that we forwarded their work to other writers on our roster. While such claims would be erroneous, since we do not forward material to writers, we'd still have to defend them, which is both time-consuming and costly. So, please respect our position and don't attempt to upload material. If you do attempt to upload material to our Website, we will do our best to remove it as soon as possible, and to deny you access to our Website in the future.
