Timeless love song which was a huge Hit Parade favorite during the war years and the Best Song Oscar winner of 1943. Written for and sung by Alice Faye singing into a telephone, in the Fox musical "Hello, Frisco, Hello." That same performance was used thirty-two years later under the opening credits of the Martin Scorcese movie with Ellen Burstyn, "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore."
