From "JUST FOR YOU"
This film needed many songs as Bing Crosby played the part of a Broadway producer. Harry wrote 11 songs, of which one was cut during production. The hit song of the movie is "Zing A Little Zong" which gave Harry his ninth Oscar nomination. Jane Wyman shines in a stunning rendition of "He's Just Crazy For Me" Bing and Jane do a wonderful duet with "Checkin' My Heart" and Bing really delivers with "A Flight Of Fancy" which was tailored for his smooth, rich baritone voice. Leo Robbin was Harry's lyricist for this film.

From "THE CADDY"
Jerry Lewis had long admired Harry's songwriting abilities and asked that Harry collaborate with Jack Brooks on the songs for this movie (and most of his films of the fifties). Warren and Brooks would become the Paramount songwriting team of the fifties. "That's Amore" became a smash hit for Dean Martin and one of his signature songs. The love ballad "You're The Right One" did fairly well, but "That's Amore" stole the spotlight and gave Harry his tenth Oscar nomination.

From "ARTISTS AND MODELS"

After completing "The Caddy" Harry would not have a project for 18 months. For the first time in 23 years since arriving in Hollywood to do "42nd Street" he had never stopped working! Harry's best song of the film is "Innamoratta" which is sung by Dean Martin. Although at first Dean resisted, as he was then not in favor of playing up his Italian heritage. Ironically, the song was another huge hit for him, and led to the ethnic image that he would capitalize on.

-The Bat Lady
-Innamoratta
-The Lucky Song
-When You Pretend

From "MARTY"
Marty had a small budget and a rather offbeat screenplay. It would bring Ernest Borgnine an Oscar for playing a plain working man. Harry wrote the title song with screenwriter Paddy Chayefsky.
-Marty
From "THE ROSE TATOO"
Alex North, who scored this movie, refused to include Harry's song in the final cut. It later became popular in recordings by Perry Como and Percy Faith.
-The Rose Tattoo

FROM "THE BIRDS AND THE BEES" About the best thing of this remake of Preston Sturgis' classic "The Lady Eve" are Harry's songs, as television comic Goerge Gobel didn't do so well on the big screen. Mitzi Gaynor does well as a French vamp entertainer, giving a saucy performance on "La Parisienne" and the movies standout performance is her dance duet wth Gobel on "The Same Thing Happens With The Birds And The Bees"
-La Parisienne
-The Same Thing Happens With The Birds And The Bees
-Each Time I Dream
-Little Miss Tippy Toes
1957
From "ROCK-A-BYE BABY" Jerry Lewis singing the very gentle ballad "Love Is A Lonely Thing" and a young Connie Stevens singing "Why Can't He Care For Me" are highlights of this very amusing film. Harry's melody "Dormi Dormi Dormi" is very much in the mode of an old Italian lullaby.
This was Harry's first collaboration with veteran lyricist Sammy Cahn.
-The Land Of La-La-La
-Love Is A Lonely Thing
-The White Virgin Of The Nile
-Rock-A-Bye Baby
-Dormi Dormi Dormi

From "THESE THOUSAND HILLS"
-These Thousand Hills
-Satan Never Sleeps
From "SEPARATE TABLES" The title song "Separate Tables", sung by Vic Damone was only heard over the credits of this picture, as the score composer, David Raskin, refused to use the Warren melody in the body of his score. This proved to be a mistake, as the title song was a wonderful, gentle bittersweet love song that would have benefitted the score considerably.
-Separate Tables
1960
From "CINDERFELLA"
Warren teams up with Jack Brooks after a five year separation. The band in the film is Count Basie's. The public always had a hard time accepting Jerry Lewis as a serious singer, and Harry always had a difficult time writing a hit song for him. The nearest to a hit song in Cinderfella is a gentle song about the need for love: "Somebody"
-Somebody
-The Princess Waltz
-Let Me Be A People
-Turn It On
-The Other Fella
1961

From "THE LADIES MAN"

Although Harry would be called upon to write a few more title songs, this would be the last film requiring Harry to write songs as part of the score. The delightful song "He Doesn't Know" probably would have more attention in a different film in a different time, but radio DJ's had turned their attention to promoting rock and roll.
-Don't Go To Paris
--The Ladies Man
-He Doesn't Know
